Are there automatic transmission cars?

Automatic transmission Mustangs are not available. You must know how to operate a manual transmission in order to drive.

Are travel and accommodations included?

No.

Can I bring a guest?

Participants are welcome to bring a guest. The guest can join us for all classroom sessions, as well as all meals, for an additional $50 fee. Guests will not be permitted to ride with participants.


Can I bring my own car?

We provide the cars for all schools. You are welcome to bring your own car but for safety reasons, it is best to keep it parked.


Do you have a rental car agency partner?

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we offer gift cards. All gift cards are non-refundable. You can purchase gift cards and other merchandise in the box office or through a sales representative by calling 435-27-SPEED (435-277-7333).

Do you provide helmets and racing suits?

We provide helmets for classes but participants are welcome to bring their own if it is rated Snell SA 2010 or better. We provide one-layer driving suits for our full-day Ford Performance Racing School participants. For race-weekend arrive-and-drive participants, two layer suits, full-face helmets and HANS devices.

BOSS 302FRS upgrades

All participants who upgrade to the BOSS 302FRS Mustang for either a Two-Day Performance School or a Race Licensing program, are required to wear a HANS device. HANS devices are available at the School. If a participant brings his or her helmet, the helmet is required to have a set of HANS Post Anchors on the helmet and be rated Snell SA 2010 or better.


How much track time do I get?

Our program runs from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. each day. First-day students will spend roughly 30% of the time inside in the classroom, including lunch. The remaining 70% of the day is spent behind the wheel. Second-day students are guaranteed a minimum of five 20-minute sessions on the track.

Is there an age requirement?

Participants must be at least 16 to participate in any driving school activity on the racetrack and possess a current, valid driver's license. All participants under the age of 18 are required to have a parent consent form signed and authenticated.


Is there any special info for women?

I'm a woman and want to come to your school. What should I do?

Get yourself signed up! 20-50% of each school will be women and we have facilities to make anyone comfortable. We encourage husbands and wives to attend together as well as fathers, or mothers and daughters.


Rescheduling, Cancellation, Terms?

What is your rescheduling/cancellation policy and terms/conditions?

Terms and Conditions


Cancellation:

Cancellation requests received more than 31 days prior to your event will be charged a fee of 10% of the face value of the program.

Rescheduling

Reschedule requests received more than 31 days prior to your event will receive a one-time credit of the original purchase toward attendance at a future scheduled similar event within 12 months of the original reservation. A 5% rescheduling fee against the face value of the program will be charged.

No refund or credit toward a future program will be offered if a cancellation or request to reschedule occurs less than 31 days prior to your event. . Failure to appear will result in forfeiture of all event fees.

Weather Policy

The Ford Performance Racing School [FPRS] is an all-weather facility. If extreme weather conditions prevent FPRS from safely executing the Event, every effort will be made to reschedule the Event. FPRS reserves the sole right in determining whether an Event will be cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions. In such case, FPRS will retain and apply Client's deposit to the rescheduled Event. If the Event is cancelled due to weather and a mutually-agreeable date cannot be determined, FPRS will refund the entire deposit.


Commuications and Privacy

By registering for schools and driving experiences you agree to receive email and print communications from the Ford Performance Racing School (The McKeever Group LLC) both related to this registration and related to future sales, marketing and informational communications. All correspondence, schools, and courses will be communicated in the English language. You also agree to the Legal/Privacy policy as seen on this webpage.


What is my liability?

Full-day driving schools: There is an option to purchase a property damage waiver option to limit financial responsibility for damage done to the Mustang GT and Boss 302FRS used in the Ford Performance Racing School program. Without the limited liability, the student assumes full financial responsibility up to full replacement value of the vehicle for any and all damage they do to the vehicle. This option can be purchased during registration on this website or prior to attending or at check-in upon arrival at Ford Performance Racing School.


Ford Performance Racing School Event Waiver/Liability:

POLICIES

1. PARTICIPANT AGREES TO ASSUME FULL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY UP TO THE LIMIT AGREED FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE. PARTICIPANT ALSO AGREES TO FULL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE EVENT(S) WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF PARTICIPANT OR OTHERWISE. ONLY PARTICIPANT NAMED ABOVE IS AUTHORIZED TO DRIVE THE ASSIGNED CAR.

2. IF THE CAR SUFFERS MECHANICAL FAILURE, FORD PERFORMANCE RACING SCHOOL WILL PROVIDE, TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITIES, A BACK UP CAR.

3. AT ANY TIME, AND IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, FORD PERFORMANCE RACING SCHOOL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE THE DRIVER FROM THE RACE CAR FOR ANY REASON. THE FORD PERFORMANCE RACING SCHOOL ALSO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL CAR AS BACK-UP, RESULTING FROM ASSIGNED VEHICLE BEING DAMAGED. ANY ADDITIONAL VEHICLE ASSIGNED WILL REQUIRE AN ADDITIONAL LIMITED LIABILITY FEE, IF OPTION IS SELECTED, OTHERWISE,PARTICIPANT WILL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE NEWLY ASSIGNED VEHICLE. REFUNDS WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE FORD PERFORMANCE RACING SCHOOL.

VEHICLE DAMAGE WAIVER:

In consideration for Utah Motorsports Campus and the Ford Performance Racing School (Collectively known as UMC/FPRS) to agree to allow Participant to drive, practice, qualify and/or race in its vehicle and on its track, Participant agrees to hold harmless, indemnify and defend UMC/FPRS against any and all claims, demands, actions (including attorney's fees and costs) liability, losses, damages, injuries (including, without limitation death and dismemberment) and accidents of whatever kind resulting in any way from participating in events at UMC/FPRS. Participant further understands and agrees that he/she assumes full financial responsibility up to full replacement value of the Ford Performance Racing School vehicle assigned to Participant (as described below) for any and all damage Participant does to the vehicle. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Participant may elect (where designated herein) a property damage waiver option and pay an additional fee to limit his/her financial responsibility to Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for damage done to the vehicle.

What is the policy for bad weather?

What should I wear?

Comfortable, seasonal attire is recommended. Wear soft-soled shoes, such as driving or tennis shoes. Open-toed shoe are not allowed. For full-day driving school participants, you will be wearing a racing suit – please wear appropriate under garments. Shorts and undershirts are a good option.


When do classes start and end each day?

Class starts at 8:00 a.m. and finishes approximately at 5:00 p.m.


Where can I park?

Parking for all Performance Schools is in the first lot on the South side inside the main entrance gate. Please follow the signs.


Where do I check in and what time?

Check-in is at the Ford Performance Racing School Welcome Center – the first building on the South side of the main security gate, just inside the main entrance gate. Check-in is from 7:30-8:00am each morning for full-day schools.

Ford Performance Racing School is located at the track at Utah Motorsports Campus in Grantsville/Tooele, Utah, about 30 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. The Salt Lake airport is the nation's main Delta hub so flights are readily available.
